UPDATE
In the past few days, our 1993 Bihler BZ2-7 has undergone a thorough overhaul. The machine had been in storage for quite some time and, let’s just say, was in need of some serious attention. Over the last week, we’ve given it a deep clean.
We also installed a new hydraulic pump, and in the coming weeks, we’ll be running new hoses through the machine.
Next week, we’ll start testing the seals around the drive bearings. To do this, we’ll simply let the machine run for several hours to observe the seals under operational conditions.
That’s the update for now—attached is a video and some pictures of the progress so far!
Why Refurbish your Bihler Machine?
Refurbishing your old Bihler machine offers significant advantages, extending its lifespan while enhancing performance and reliability. By replacing worn components, like hydraulic pumps, seals, and hoses, you ensure smoother operation and reduce downtime, which translates to higher productivity and cost savings. Refurbishment can also integrate modern upgrades, bringing older models closer to today’s performance standards at a fraction of the cost of a new machine. Ultimately, a refurbished Bihler machine delivers near-new functionality and efficiency, maximizing the value of your original investment.
